Now that the summer started… a look back at the past year since last summer
As the summer break begins – or has already started for some – we’d like to take a moment to share what we’ve been working on at Pangloss over the past year, along with a few interesting insights.
We remain proud of our strong results: with a 92% reintegration rate (compared to 93% last year), we continue to perform at a high level. The median age of our candidates is 52, which brings a wealth of experience – yet we work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Once again, our candidates came from a wide range of sectors: IT, Chemistry, Services, Healthcare, Energy (solar and beyond), Recycling, Digital tech, Media, Transport, Mobility, Real estate & Facility management, Social sector, Cleaning, Automotive, Food, etc…
And that’s no coincidence. At Pangloss, we start with the person – their story, their questions, their pace, and their current needs. The sector they come from matters less. Only once someone knows what they want, do we explore together what they can do.
Our certified coaches all have solid business experience in a variety of sectors. They speak the language of our candidates – both literally and professionally – and that makes all the difference.
A few trends worth highlighting:
-
Flanders leads in reintegration rates, closely followed by Brussels.
-
Candidates under 45 perform slightly better than those over 45
-
Women show a slightly higher success rate than men.
-
Two particularly dynamic subgroups:
-
Men in Flanders over 45
-
Women in Brussels aged 45 or younger
-
What these figures tell us is clear: motivation, reflection, and personal guidance make the real difference – regardless of age, gender or industry.
Our goal? To help people build a new comfort zone – not just one that feels familiar, but one that truly fits who they are today.

We wish you a restful and inspiring summer.
And for those in transition: we remain here, ready to help shape your next step.
Warm regards,
The Pangloss Team

The Uncomfortable Comfort Zone:
A New Podcast Series
Honest stories about disruption, reflection, and new beginnings.
Introduction: The theme
After decades of outplacement work, one thing remains clear: job loss affects more than just employment.
It shakes the foundations of routine, identity, and belonging. The so-called comfort zone disappears – even if it hadn’t felt comfortable in a long time.

Why this podcast?
Outplacement offers a chance to regain perspective. A career never unfolds in isolation: it is shaped by the ups and downs of personal life.
Over time, people often push their own needs aside.
Only when everything stops does true reflection become possible:
-
What still fits me?
-
What do I need now – professionally and personally?
This podcast brings these reflections to light, offering different perspectives and experiences.
